The Little One

A picture speaks louder than words. Everything about her brings joy. You are missing out on a pricless experience.

We had a Birthday

Happy Birthday and one more year to be young.
Bubbles give youth too.

Pinewood Derby

After days and maybe weeks of hard work, to stand nervously while your design is measured and wieghed. Is it lacking or has it gone over the limit?
Finally lined up and ready to race.

Did it come in first? Don't expect too much.

Here they come!
Dad missed the race again.

Up Up and Away

Blue and Gold was full of awards for two very hard working boys.

Trip to the Zoo

I forget how nice it can be to stroll through the zoo. A couple of good boys and a princess too.

Cake Maker

Yes, the bowl is full of cake batter that is ready to be poured into the pan. She worked hard on her brother's birthday cake.

Goodbye Nemo

Nemo, the first born of Bridget's litter on January 20th at 8PM. Nemo was small and the runt. We worried, we helped her to compete against her two other siblings for a teat. Finally we came to the barn and found her with a full belly fighting on her own. We were glad to have saved the little underdog. We knew Nemo's life was not going to be the best, she seemed to have inherited her mothers blind eye, ( I didn't know you could pass on an injury) she also had a lucky ear (hence her name Nemo) she was also very quiet we had to listen very quietly to her bleat.

Nemo was not good for breeding or for a 4-H animal. We don't have room for animals that are not paying their way. When we arrived at the barn for the evening check we were saddened by the sight we saw. Nemo was laying all flat. Her mother had lain down by her kids and not heard little Nemo's cries.

We are comforted that the decision to kill Nemo was taken from us, for that would have been hard to do. Goodbye Nemo. Thank you for teaching us and ours about life and death and uncertainty
